Join our community of Supporters and help extend an enduring sense of home to young people and their families who are not as fortunate as we. We want to honor our new and enduring sponsors at this very special event.
Last year, Street Yoga served about 800 youth with weekly classes through community site partners, including schools, shelters, resource centers and treatment programs. We serve youth who are struggling with homelessness and poverty, physical and sexual abuse, addiction, trauma, and neurodevelopmental and psychiatric issues. Overcoming these challenges is incredibly hard, and to be most effective, we partner with the finest service agencies in the region. We know that yoga, mindful breathing, and knowing how to avoid anger during crises are skills of survival. We also know that we all do better when the most injured among us can be strong.
Street Yoga is also grateful for the past support from CorePower Yoga, Nike, OHSU Dept. of Anesthesia/Pediatric Division, The Bhaktishop, The Broderick Gallery, The Flawless Foundation, Yoga Shala of Portland, Yoga Union Community Wellness, emerick architects p.c., New Deal Vodka, Jay and Amy Regan, Sara and Dan Boxer and Bill Kinder.
