The 2012 Yogi Roots Festival will be November 10 at the Bossanova Ballroom (722 E Burnside) in Portland, OR.
Classes start at 9a and music will go late into the night!
The Yogi Roots Festival:
A Celebration of Portland Yoga brings together local teachers and students from various studios and traditions under one roof to support, learn from, and collaborate with each other.
The all-day festival will benefit the local non-profit Yogi Roots (yogiroots.org) whose mission is to connect, engage, and evolve the Portland yoga community. By fostering collaboration and accessibility among yoga groups and individuals from all traditions, levels of experience, and backgrounds, Yogi Roots supports the deepening of personal yoga practice while encouraging service within the greater community.
Other local non-profits will be featured at the festival to provide participants with opportunities to give phentermine 37.5 mg 30 pills back to the greater Portland area. This celebration of Portland yoga will honor Yogi Roots’ mission by bringing focus to yoga lifestyle. Yogic living brings the principles and tradition of yoga beyond a physical practice and into every aspect of our daily lives. The richness and diversity of the lifestyle practice will be highlighted at the festival with a full day of asana, meditation, mantra, and pranayama workshops, a community panel discussion, and many other unique offerings.
To supplement the activities there will be food and drink provided by Prasad and other local vendors. The evening will be kicked off with an all-star kirtan band. Finally, some of Portland’s premier musicians will be brought to the center stage including Ben Darwish’s Commotion, Medicine for the People and Shook Twins.
