After our volunteers complete the Street Yoga Teacher Training, we partner them with another Street Yoga Teacher in order to team-teach at one of our class locations.  This creates an environment of support for teachers, along with consistency and richness for participants. As an additional support for teachers, Julie Sage-Lauck, our Program Director, launched our first ever Weekly Teacher Community Meetings every Tuesday at 6pm. Additionally, we partner with experts in fields related to our work, whether that is trauma-informed research, kids yoga, non-violent communication, etc., in order to provide continuing education opportunities for our volunteers.

Bring Street Yoga to your City

WHERE:Street Yoga Office – East Bank Commerce Center, 1001 SE Water Ave., Portland, OR 97214 – Office #300

WHAT IS IT? A group where Street Yoga volunteer teachers can come together to share and discuss the challenges, joys, pains, confusion, healing, empowerment, questions, exploration, and other aspects of teaching yoga to youth.

This group is not mandatory, it’s not public (only Street Yoga teachers may attend), it’s not a task group or committee.  Street Yoga staff may also attend, but in the role of teachers.

Street Yoga aims to provide support and community for our teachers in a safe, consistent, and accessible way.
