Yesterday at White Shield, we had a blast! We started off with some smiles and humor, and then got right into practicing. We worked on building strength through lengthening the time we take in poses (plank and downward dog) and then returned once again to crow pose.
The girls were animated, and they brought out from their own experiences (with gymnastics and dance) other poses that we tried, at the wall and on the mats.
One of the most gratifying blessings from this teaching is to work with the girls over the course of a few weeks. Week one, they almost all complain about not being strong enough to do crow, and then a month later when they nail it, they are elated. I did it!! They all say that with such relish you can't help but smile.
